What's the cheapest way to detangle curls in Melbourne weather? Just wondering, because I'm sick of washing my hair everyday and each morning I end up with a bed of curls from the top to the nape of my neck X_X

Haven't shopped for any clothes yet, am proud of self (for now, but that's because I keep reminding myself that I could get a lot of things hell cheaper at Topshop/DP/some shop that I get my daily fashion dose from ._.

We'll probably will never end up in Camberwell (boo :( ) and I still have yet to see Lab (as parents aren't exactly sure of what's up in the evening) but at least I got to Victoria Market and bought tonnes of souvenirs for the usual motley crew so yes, anything else it'd be until I get back from Tasmania, tengok sempat ke tak ye (or if parents overexceed luggage limit hohoho)

Ok, tiba tiba its sejuk. Nyesal tak bawak my hoodie, so many people wearing theirs and I need a cheap scarf but even the cheap ones I see costs an average of AUS$30. Evil, but meh, I'll survive the weather >E

Ok, one last Cafe World check and to the boyfie, I'm still alive, no worries about me except that I'll probably be your slave for another term until I figure out a way to eat without putting on anything at all =_=;;

Few hours before the night flight

1. Reached KL Sentral with much comfort today, purposely reloaded RM30 to keep myself busy even though I swear Maxis mobile internet is freaking expensive.
2. Contrary to my simple birthday dinner of burger patties and savory pancakes, the lunch at Ming Palace was incredibly lavish and delicious, especially the braised salted fish chicken <3 And 3 types of dessert too WTF @_@;
3. Didn't had time at all to buy a new camera so my photos now will be taken by my 2MP Nokia 5130 cellphone for the moment. Left the Olympus battery in the car, will retrieve it later.
4. Tune's Hotel room is amazingly small and yet packed with features (that one needs to pay here and there), it amuses me. Reminds me of my hostel days in Puncak.
5. Hence why I'm roaming out here, utilizing the free net until I can find something more useful to do. Oh, and I forgot to charge my MP3 player, or bring it, having depended on my cell too much. FML.
6. You know you are a horrible GAME addict when you're on holiday and at the first encounter of free net, the first thing you open is Cafe World =_=
7. I still haven't convert my money ASDFDGF ok seriously can't go shop in Australia now X_X

And another birthday present contender appears!

Naaaaak sangat ;_; *stares at her resolution to be stingy* Though the price will definitely be a bit of a setback. Daisy by MJ also costed around RM220 in Malaysia so I assumed the price for this baby should be somewhere around there too. Sigh. Must..remain..kedekut..save for camera..or not.

Edit : Saw the price while browsing through Malaysian e-zines..RM270 for 50 ml?! ITS ALMOST COMPARABLE TO JUICY COUTURE WHICH COSTS JUST AS MUCH. But then it's EDP...the price range for EDP's higher compared to EDT, and of course most of the time, it smells nicer too and lasts longer. Oh well. Have to put this on the bottom of my want-list. I have a cut off point for purchasing fragrances :3

As if it isn't bad enough that Cafe World has completely taken over my life

Though thinking over, this may be my last official break as a student as 2010 marks the year of internship/practical training/job hunting and a few interesting things that's on the way though nothing will be confirmed yet until it's sealed and ascertained. Oh, and also a lot of money being taken out even though it's a je ne sais pas/ ça ne fait rien situation for me, more like it's a combien ça coûte, seeing that it is a future investment after all X_X

Which reminds me, need to re-practice French/Japanese. And my pigeon Mandarin, which is literally causing me trouble in writing messages in Chinese sometimes because heaven knows how long has it been since I actually used it and I don't even know if the dictionary I have (in FULL MANDARIN) can even help me T_T

After being out of the loop for days

For those who didn't know, my modem was dead. Or so that was what we had earlier on concluded, as our house is a hot spot when it comes to lightning flashes that is the bane of every modem regardless of how well-protected it is.

So we had a list already crossed out in advance. No Aztech, no Dlink (even though the advice of boyfie is sought), we decided that there's enough ~~corpses~~ modems of those models to prove that those two does not fit well in the household. No Linksys, because that was the one that had just recently passed on. So that leaves one to choose between Blue Thunder (rather inappropriately named for a modem-router, I suppose they were aiming for speed but eh, this just gives off a bad vibe to me=_=;;) and Belkin, which sounds rather promising with a lifetime warranty. And that was just what I nearly bought before Dad returned from grocery shopping and recalled that the office is using the Belkin modem-router which is the bad news for the Dell laptop in network coverage and so it's back to falling to the second-best, which I actually liked better because it's design is so sleek and sexy. So yes, we got ourselves the Linksys Wireless Router :

With proper packaging too! After having friends who majored in Publishing, taking a Publishing elective and handcrafting my press-kits and packaging, I began to appreciate nicely thought out packs which comes in colored leaflets and bright stickers. Oh, did I mention that the box is made of recyclable paper and vegetable ink too? Go eco-packaging ^o^

...........Well that was all before the nightmare began and we couldn't set up the router because mysteriously all the laptops in the house couldn't detect it/has problems with internet connection/couldn't configure router and the likes. There's only one thing left to do : leave it to the resident net expert aka the elder brother who will generally fix 80% of our web woes. And he did, today after lunch right after a few baffling hours of trying to figure out the root of the problem, which in the end he couldn't exactly pinpoint the actual perpetrator either but what we know is that the thunder had screwed things up for us as usual, and the old modem isn't dead, just struck into concussion XD;;

So, there goes the new modem-router's chance to shine (poor Santiago :( ) but with our thunder-happy area, I wouldn't bet on our current modem to live long especially with the massive deforestation that's been going on in my neighbourhood. Very disruptive to the fengshui, even more disruptive to the net addicts that consists of the entire family. So yes after getting our connection back in order, we went back into our respective lifes, Dad with the Politikalzzz trawls, Mum with the window online-shopping and household concept hunting, Brother with..whatever that he looks for whenever he has net and me with my beloved social networks/new media attractions which I will definitely base my academic writing on.

Till then, I'm off to download all my Corp Comm notes off i-learn and start answering some case studies to refresh the brain. Must get ultimate pointer this semester >E

YES I LOVE MY PARENTS THAT MUCH THAT I KILL MYSELF BY TAKING A LESS THAN 24 HOUR TRIP BACK TO MY HOMETOWN, BEAT THAT YOU PEOPLE WHO CAN'T STAY AWAY FROM YOUR PARENTS FOR A WEEK.

So yes, I am feeling extremely cranky now (lack of sleep, mug for exams >3). Terms test. Assignment deadlines. Need more time. Need ice-cream for emotional compensation. Need to finish writing this crap report.

Used : Skinfood BB Cream Aloe Vera Type 1 (colour was lighter than my previous tone, had to use sparingly compared to Type II)
             Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (as base, also dabbed lightly)
             Estee Lauder Zero Smudge Lengthening Mascara (free from Mum, so decided to experiment with it :D)
             Estee Lauder High Gloss (also from Mum. Nude colour gloss, I like it very very much *_*)
             Watsons Eyelash Curler (this is why you should invest in a GOOD quality curler, not a RM7 one, because mine is falling apart ish =_=)

Moral of the story : Kepada mereka yang banyak adik beradik tu, jangan asyik nak tolak kerja kepada orang aje ye. Kawanku adalah contoh terbaik di mana dia ajela yang sudi stayback untuk membantu parents dia tu. Cubala ambik turn ke apa. Ini tak. Memang sikit lagi dah sampai peringkat anak derhaka tu. So yes, ingat. Jangan asyik mementingkan diri-sendiri aje. Karang Allah tarik balik nikmat, dah melepek pulak.

Spending the first day of the fasting month with my family..even if it's just for a day, I guess I'm starting to feel a little to sentimental after reading the case studies in the PR books..of how some peasants couldn't even afford a proper meal to break fast but at least the company they have makes up for the lack of the basic Maslow needs. No doubt I'm invited to most of my house mates home for sahur and break fast but still..it doesn't feel the same.

Tsk. If only Academic Vision can be postponed to a later date. Oh well. Menemani anak yatim piatu pada bulan puasa adalah kebajikan juga, serta perbuatan yang mulia. Must keep a positive outlook in life yosh >3

Life's been great, if not better, as of late. Been busy with assignments mostly, fortunately the subjects weren't as demanding as the previous semester but honest to God, Media Law is effing boring that if I had the choice of ditching it, I wouldn't think twice. No doubt it was one of the class that makes one feel smarter after 3 hours of brainwashing, I can't deny that it was rather crucial to teach us young people the whole legislative and judiciary system in this nation X_X

Been on a slight mall craze though it's due to the need to find several overdue gifts for people (Dimmie), revision books (Media Law, Corporate Comm, PR Publicity), groceries (Giant for their competitive prices?) and Japanese plasters which are literally god-sent in studying hours *_*

Fridays are my lepak/movie days with the boyfie and a lot of friends asked me why didn't I see him on alternate days or possibly, at every given chance seeing that he is only 15 minutes drive from my area. I know some people are typically incapable of living without their significant others, rendered permanently crippled even when they are 100 meters apart from their partners but really, I personally find it too mentally-stifling to see the same person every other day.

Yes I love him (and him, possibly twice as much because he always doubles whatever I do to him >P), more than any of the male counterparts that I've met for the past few years but there is a mutual respect for space and relationship development between us. We have an almost similar clique but if something more important crops out, like him with his tutorials and me with my uni work, it's understandable that we won't see each other until everything is done and over with. We are just a pair of very unromantic couple but at least we lasted 5 years (6 if I don't trigger a huge fight with him out of tradition at year end hoho >D)

So today, I skipped out on two outings (Dimmie and Ilya) to settle things like a wonky Kem-Chan who has undergone a basic service at the Automall outlet in Sek 14 and it IS RM69 for Basic Service, and Petronas Semi-Synthetic at that. Way better than driving to Sri Muda and wasting my petrol money. Too bad they don't take cards but ah, will contra that with my groceries next week. Went to the warehouse sales to see if I can get Mum anything for Raya and sadly, they don't have casserole dishes but they have soup tureens by the dozens and the selection of items on sale this time around is just borderline average. Ended up getting something for a personal project, might work on it after midterms.

Am at the CC researching some things for next week's lecture + presentation + exam paper. And also, collecting information for my academic writing. Another lonely weekend, until maybe next month. Need to focus on academic vision project and fasting.

Oh. I made a friend over coffee today. Kinda awkward, since my last new friend was like...5 months back? Oh well, the good vibes are there so here's to wishing for a peaceful month.

But..BUT, I'm trying to ganti puasa. So all these temptations shall be out of my way. Until then, I'm waiting for 3 Brader Auto Mall to pick up their phone so I can schedule my car for servicing. Found their RM69++ Car Service a little too irrestible, plus 5% student discount too! But the problem is trying to get through la..went there at 8.30 a.m., not opened yet. Then it rained heavily, and my car wiper blades decided to split (!!!) and that made me panic for a moment. Nonetheless, managed to make my way back to Sek 7 the sudden heavy downpour in Shah Alam.

So..that needs replacing too. Anyone knows a good/cheap place to change wiper blades? Or how much these blades actually cost around in KL/Selangor? I do hate getting ripped off since I'm driving around a car with a Perak numberplate =_=

A proper update

Okay, so it's time for a proper update of sorts, seeing that most of my entries these days made of random muses and pangs of emotions that made no coherent sense. Been doing work (yes I have assignments and presentations due by next week), which includes:
-A review on an unimaginative chapter of Media Law (every week, one review = 5 pages minimum)
-Movie review (subject to change but I picked X Men Origins) in English <- Interpersonal Comm
- Movie review in Malay (watching Setem for this, it better be good >( ) <- Interpersonal Comm
- Event proposal (ACG event WTF *kills groupmates*) <- PR in Publicity & Event
- Group presentation on Comm. Theory <- International PR
- News monitoring for Corporate (I feel like changing from DiGi to Sime Darby, need to reconfirm with some people) <- Corporate Comm
- French homework (je suis un génie, voila mon devoir! fabuleux! c'est magnifique! Qu'est-ce que c'est? Je suis un poisson! Zut zut! Comment allez vous?) <- French ~~for idiots~~ Level 2
- Website critic/refurbish (I chose UUM because everything feels so late 90's over there. REVAMP TIEM PPL!!) <- Publishing Elective
-Special Topics : Crime Interview (yes someone from the online world will receive an interview very soon :P) <- Journalism Elective

Ha, take that, 28 CREDIT HOURS WOOHOO. Whoever who says Mass Comm students have it easy? Private college, yes, maybe you may have a life. Take a good guess why I am often left semi lifeless these days. The right to feel annoyed is there, because students of other faculty thinks we are all having too much fun with our subjects. Hoi cermin dirila. Korang punya credit hours berapa? Can you compare to ours? Seriously, if I'd taken Comm Change, you won't even see me on the weekends and possibly I might even lose a boyfriend and a few friends at this rate =_=
