First and foremost, thank you to everyone who had took the time and effort to celebrate our (me and K1's) most important day of our lives. I think at this point I have sounded like a broken gramophone thanking people over and over again but honest to God, apart from being not exactly the most sociable couple to most people (we kinda glided out of the CF community ever since we started work; attending mostly random yumchas organized by friends either by chance or appointments) .

Hence, my main worry was whether anyone would want to come for the Perak reception seeing that it is a 2 hour drive and it didn't help that it coincided with CF Day 1 (again, the dates were chosen by my parents. Because we know that month end is hell at work for me and early December would be too fast for me to recuperate from my month end work madness). And yes, seeing old faces that I haven't meet for weeks, months or even years on my big day literally kept me ecstatic (even though I looked tired by 3pm onwards, fail X_X) especially when everyone just mingled like good old times and doing what they do best ; eat, be merry and do super crazy stuff that K1 would normally never would agree to his in manliness >D

Ok, I rambled a bit too much on that. Moving on, let's start with... an LJ Cut :D

As I ranted mostly on Twitter about the wedding drama and whatnot, let's just go with em..the day before my solemnization which happens to fall on an unsuspecting Thursday. Like I've mentioned before, I saved up my AL to be taken in one big stretch during December and ideally, there should be someone capable who would be backing up my work. However, as I was busy with preparations, I only chose to monitor my friends progress on Monday and Tuesday, deciding to let her deal with it on her own from Wednesday onwards (actually I shouldn't be doing this but heck, I am VERY particular in handling my clients and relationships with people I work with). Call me anal but yeah, I just take my job sometimes a little too seriously :(

Other than that, time was spent on ensuring that our house is in a pristine state for tomorrow and I was in and out running a million chores that took a toll on my daily stamina which of course comes in the form of fatigue a week later. Honestly, a small family unit (me, mum and Dad) to handle a wedding is normally deemed as madness but since everyone was gung-ho to make it happen, we just went with the flow ; making endless phone-calls, double-confirming arrangements and the usual incessant worrying of what will go wrong. Regardless, it was my wedding so no one is going to fix the Hersheys in my crystal bunga pahar if I don't do it (mum did it later yay while me and Dad went grocery shopping). For proper photos of the bunga pahar, here's one from the vendor herself :

RM9 each so I took 50 to fill up one bunga telur stand. Twice as expensive as compared to bunga stocking or other normal bunga telurs but seeing that I'm gettng married only once, this is the sacrifice I had to make (apart from driving to IOI Mall at 6.30 pm, murder!!!) These double up as gifts too to my relatives who had helped with the merewang (gotong-royong in Javanese language) .

I was also downloading wedding songs to be used for the reception and at the same time was constantly harassed to sleep early (as I have a super early pre-wedding shoot the day after) but knowing that your significant other is still not on the way to Perak yet until wee hours in the morning is enough to give you dark circles from the lack of sleep. Still, thanks to the masks that I wore every other night before sleeping (Neutrogena Fine Fairness mask is a life-saver! Esp if you have uneven combination skin like mine :D), it minimized the likeliness of breaking out apart from preventing the make-up to look cakey on my case as some areas of my face can be unforgivably dry and difficult to work with.

(Though after getting married, I got lazy, stopped taking Vitamin C and using masks so this apathetic attitude is going to bite me in the ass in January ><)

K1 called at around 1 something to announce has finally arrived at the resort but I was already in semi-deep sleep so all I did was to ramble some nonsensical remarks and went back to the usual state of comatose -_- (Don't worry dear, I am still grateful and celebrating your arrival in my dreams ^o^'') But because of that, I woke up at 5 am (with the help of a trusty alarm-clock, none of that handphone alarm shit), made a cup of Joe and just well..tried to register the thought that in barely less than 12 hours I am going to be someone's wive and the best part is, I haven't even heard my Dad practiced the words that he is to lafaz as a wali but hey, I had good vibes all the way. Maybe it was a caffeine buzz and in spite of all the chaos that may occur on the later part of the day, I chilled (as Atifi had reminded me relentless times to) and looked forward to having proper shots of me and K1 taken (7 years of relationship that was almost secret XD)

Part 2 of this will come soon after as it's 2 am right now and I have to be in the office like 7 hours later X_X And to those who have poked us for a proper picture out of our pre-wedding shot, well..here's one :D

Till then, if I don't continue with Part 2 just yet, see you all at K1's reception on 1st January 2012 :D
